The role of Cook Supervisor at Summit’s corrections team in Virginia Beach, VA, is a full-time, onsite position offering an hourly wage of $20.00. This position plays a vital role in the kitchen by coordinating and supervising kitchen staff to ensure food service is efficient, timely, and meets high standards of quality and sanitation. The successful candidate will oversee food preparation and service, instruct and train employees on culinary and sanitation practices, and maintain strict adherence to established protocols in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

As a Cook Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing team members and ensuring that all meals served meet proper portion sizes, have the appropriate appearance, and are served at the correct temperature. Your role includes instructing kitchen staff in all aspects of food service, with an emphasis on quality, safety, and efficiency. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to train if no prior experience
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in Virginia Beach, VA

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of prior culinary experience in a high-volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
  • Complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Experience supervising a team
  • Food handlers certification preferred
  • Ability to provide friendly and helpful customer service

Job Duties
