Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to train if no prior experience
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in Virginia Beach, VA
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Flexibility to adhere to work schedules

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of prior culinary experience in a high-volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
  • Complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Experience supervising a team
  • Food handlers certification preferred
  • Ability to provide friendly and helpful customer service

Job Duties

  • Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation
  • Ensuring meal services begin on time
  • Ensuring portion, appearance, and temperature of food items are appropriate and of high quality
  • Coordinating and supervising the work of kitchen staff
  • Maintaining compliance with health and safety standards
  • Overseeing inventory and supply management
  • Providing leadership and support to team members
