Morrison Healthcare is hiring immediately for a full-time Cook Supervisor position located at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center at 3333 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston Salem, NC 27103. This role offers an hourly pay range of $20.00 to $23.00 and a full-time schedule from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, with days varying and including rotating weekends and holidays. The Cook Supervisor role primarily involves directly supervising food-service associates in compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant laws to maintain the highest standards of food quality and safety. The supervisor is responsible for training employees, planning and assigning work, and ensuring efficient operations in a dynamic healthcare setting. This position demands attention to detail in using approved recipes and production standards to guarantee proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control. Maintaining food safety is paramount, with stringent adherence to HACCP guidelines, proper food storage, labeling, and minimizing spoilage and waste. The Cook Supervisor also operates and cleans kitchen equipment following prescribed procedures and ensures a safe working environment by complying with all policies regarding food-service equipment. This role may also involve direct interaction with customers during meal service times to receive feedback and address any concerns.
