By focusing intensively on the unique needs of correctional facilities, Summit is committed to delivering quality food services that uphold safety, nutrition, and culinary standards in demanding environments. As part of the larger Elior North America family, which values diversity, personal development, and career advancement, Summit stands as a respected employer and a leader in this specialized segment of the food service industry.

The role available at Summit's Marietta, Georgia location is that of an experienced cook within their correctional facility kitchen division. This is a full-time, onsite position offering a competitive wage of $18.00 per hour. The role is ideal for culinary professionals who thrive in fast-paced, high-volume kitchens and possess a passion for scratch cooking that emphasizes quality and precision. Working collaboratively with a motivated and energetic kitchen team, you will have the opportunity to prepare delicious meals that meet stringent portion control and food safety standards. This opportunity is not merely a cooking job but a platform for those who are driven by culinary excellence and eager to grow within a dynamic organization that promotes skill development and career progression.

In this position, cooks are responsible for multiple key kitchen operations including food preparation, ensuring the proper storage of ingredients, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness and safety in compliance with regulations. The role also involves creative food presentation techniques to enhance the appearance and appeal of each meal served. An emphasis is placed on adherence to food handling policies, procedures, and recipes that uphold the highest standards of quality and safety in food service within correctional settings.

The ideal candidates will have at least one year of culinary experience in establishments that value high-quality scratch cooking and operational efficiency. Candidates should be proficient in culinary methods and techniques, capable of multitasking efficiently in a busy environment, and familiar with the use of various kitchen equipment. Customer service experience is also an essential component of this role given the unique interaction required in this setting.

Summit offers a comprehensive benefits package to full-time employees, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, voluntary insurance options, commuter benefits, and robust employee support programs. The company also prioritizes employee growth through tuition reimbursement and career development opportunities.
