We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Cook to join our team within the Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation facility at Friendship Village. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the community's high standards of food service, directly impacting resident satisfaction and overall dining experience. The Cook is responsible for preparing all food items according to standardized recipes, ensuring quality, taste, and presentation meet the expectations of our residents. Responsibilities include crafting soups, stocks, sautéed, fried, and baked goods, with a focus on adhering to nutrition and dietary guidelines that support the health needs of our senior population. The position offers a shift from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, providing a consistent schedule for a balanced work-life experience. As an incentive, Friendship Village offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus as part of joining their dynamic team. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club or similar institution

- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance

Job Duties
- Prepare food items as per standardized recipes including soups, stocks, sautéed, fried, and baked items
- Determine the amount and type of food and supplies required for daily menus
- Obtain supplies from storage areas in a timely manner for meal production
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and workstations
- Follow nutrition, safety, and sanitary standards in food preparation and service
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Monitor kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
