Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years direct experience in cooking or related culinary role
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods
- Capability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
- Willingness to work in a warm kitchen environment
- Physical ability to reach, crouch, kneel, and stoop
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years direct cooking experience
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Partner with manager to exploit current culinary trends and implement new and on-brand initiatives
- Collaborate with manager to create menus for special events as needed
- Work with Restaurant Manager to ensure proper communication with co-workers
- Be a motivating presence and leader to the staff to constantly improve and exceed customer expectations
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist in training new kitchen staff
