The Cook plays an essential role in ensuring that food preparation is conducted safely, efficiently, and thoroughly according to the company's specifications. Physical stamina is crucial as the role involves medium to heavy lifting and continuous movement throughout the shift.
The Cook's responsibilities include setting up batter stations, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly, managing fryer operations including cleaning and shortening levels, and preparing chicken and other food items to meet exact quality and specification standards. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized workstation, verifying inventory for necessary supplies, and supporting overall kitchen operations as directed by the shift manager. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cooking or food preparation experience preferred
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Must adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Set up the batter table and prepare batter mix
- Ensure call sheets are complete, posted, and used
- Check all equipment and report malfunctions
- Color balance fryers and maintain proper shortening levels
- Filter and clean all fryers following safety guidelines
- Pan sufficient chicken for operational needs
- Prepare and cook food products according to specifications and Manager's direction
