Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to stand and walk on hard floors for up to eight hours
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Commitment to adhering to food quality and preparation standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous cooking experience in a fast-paced food service environment preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow detailed cooking procedures and recipes
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Good communication skills

Job Duties

  • Sets up the batter table, collects all necessary smallwares, and prepares batter mix
  • Ensures that call sheets are complete, posted and used
  • Checks all equipment and immediately reports any malfunctions within the area to the Manager in Charge
  • Color balances fryers and adds sufficient shortening to maintain proper shortening levels
  • Filters and cleans all fryers at designated times following safety guidelines
  • Pans sufficient chicken for operational needs
  • Prepares and cooks all food products as directed by the Manager in Charge
  • Ensures all food products meet specifications, procedures and quality standards
  • Maintains a clean work area by practicing clean-as-you-go
  • Verifies product and supplies are stocked and available at the batter area
  • Maintains organization and cleanliness of the cooler
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the Manager in Charge
