- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in culinary or food service roles
- Food Handler's certification
- ability to work most weekends and flexible weekdays
- reliable and punctual
- good communication skills
- ability to follow health and safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- Prior culinary, food service, or restaurant experience
- Food Handler's certification
- ServSafe certification preferred
- knowledge of food safety standards
- ability to prepare meals according to dietary restrictions
Job Duties
- Prepares food including washing, trimming, cutting, portioning, measuring, mixing, and panning
- cooks food including baking, broiling, frying, steaming, braising, boiling, and pressure cooking
- prepares food for booked catering events
- provides meals that are properly cooked, tasty, and attractive meeting high standards for quality and presentation
- ensures dietary needs of residents are met
- handles food in accordance with sanitary standards
- maintains kitchen cleanliness and safety
