Job Requirements

  • one year of related experience
  • certification of completion of Food Handler Training Course by Jefferson County Department of Health within 21 days of employment
  • ability to work full-time shifts including mornings and evenings
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • adherence to health and safety regulations

Job Duties

  • prepare food items for patients children visitors and staff using specialized equipment
  • communicate recipe and production issues to supervisors
  • develop and implement USDA menus for children up to sixty months
  • ensure all food preparation meets safety and quality standards
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and equipment
  • follow all health and safety regulations
  • collaborate with nutrition and healthcare teams
