Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, or currently attending high school
  • Valid Texas Food Handlers certification
  • Flexible schedule to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to maintain a positive environment and good personal behavior
  • Moderate level of technological competency
  • Willingness to comply with health and safety policies and procedures
  • Physical ability to perform light work involving lifting up to 25 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, or currently attending high school
  • Valid Texas Food Handlers certification
  • Knowledge of city policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations, and inventory management
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations, and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to act quickly and calmly in emergency situations
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Perform food preparation and cook items that usually require short preparation time
  • Follow safe handling standards for stocking, rotating, and storing products for consumption, which includes pulling expired products from inventory
  • Follow all safety and health policies and procedures such as the use of protective equipment, proper refrigeration, and food handling
  • Operate work related machines, tools, and equipment such as grills, fryers, etc
  • Clean food preparation equipment, work areas, and counters or tables
  • Perform general cleaning activities in kitchen and dining areas
  • Complete opening and closing restaurant duties in accordance with policy and procedures
  • Performs related work as required
