The role available is a part-time Cook position at Corewell Health's Dearborn Hospital Nutrition Department. This position operates on a rotating schedule, including every other weekend, serving hospital patients, employees, guests, and cafeteria visitors. The cook will work under general direction, using standardized recipes and mandated food handling and safety procedures to prepare bulk and made-to-order meals. Responsibilities include reading recipes, following production sheets, maintaining sanitation, and actively participating in safety initiatives. The position begins with a competitive starting pay of $16.98 per hour and requires adherence to Corewell Health’s safety and vaccine protocols. This role is crucial to supporting the nutritious meal program within the hospital and ensuring timely, safe food service for all authorized patrons. Candidates with culinary arts training or equivalent experience, along with knowledge of food production equipment and HACCP procedures, will thrive in this role.
