Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 2-5 years experience working as a cook preferred
  • Food handler permit preferred
  • Familiarity with inventorying, cooking by recipes, quantity cooking and following written procedures
  • Ability to stand and walk most of the day
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve regular and special diets to patients and employees
  • Understand and effectively deliver on all recipes and food service concepts as directed
  • Inventory management and ordering of kitchen supplies
  • Cook food by recipes and maintain quality
  • Follow food handling and sanitation procedures
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Dietary/Nutrition Services
