Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or satisfactory completion of UCHealth-administered basic competency test
- Minimum of one year cooking experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Capability to follow standardized recipes and dietary modifications
- Good critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Review menu and special orders to determine types and quantities of food items to be prepared
- Follow standardized recipes in preparation of all foods
- Plan cooking schedule with supervisor and/or executive chef to ensure food is ready at specified times
- Confer with supervisor and/or executive chef regarding modified diet preparation and use of leftovers
- Adhere to all applicable guidelines regarding storage, handling and preparation of food
- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of work area
- Work independently with critical thinking and decisive judgement in a fast-paced environment
