The Part-Time Prep-Cook/Line Cook/Dishwasher position at Century Park Associates offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for individuals interested in culinary roles within a supportive team environment. This role is part-time, typically around 20 hours per week, with the flexibility to work various shifts between 5:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., making it ideal for those seeking adaptable scheduling. The position pays a starting wage of $17.00 per hour, dependent on experience, and comes with benefits including vacation pay and sick pay within the first year, as well as double pay for holidays worked. The community is easily accessible, located on the main bus line, and provides employees with free meals during their shifts.

In this role, the Prep-Cook/Line Cook/Dishwasher will prepare nutritious, high-quality meals centered on hospitality and resident enjoyment. It requires working under the direction of the Dining Services Director and involves a range of kitchen duties such as meal preparation, maintaining sanitation standards, operating kitchen equipment, and assisting with inventory and stock management. The position also includes opportunities for cross-training, allowing team members to develop skills across different kitchen roles, potentially increasing hours and career growth within the community. Employees are expected to uphold all food safety and local health regulations, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. Job Duties

  • prepares nutritious, high quality meals with a hospitality focus for residents consumption
  • maintains system to ensure timely meal services
  • checks daily menu and special events calendar to ensure necessary food and supplies are available
  • garnishes plates to enhance overall dining experience
  • operates kitchen equipment safely and efficiently including steamer, oven, grill, meat slicer, mixer, grinder, and dishwasher
  • assists with preparation of special meals and events
  • maintains cooler and freezer properly with correct dating and labeling
  • assists with daily kitchen duties such as washing pots and pans, putting up stock, removing trash and boxes
  • completes daily cleaning assignments and maintains a clean and sanitized work environment
