Job Description

Meddys is a full-service restaurant specializing in high-quality, healthy Mediterranean cuisine served quickly and at affordable prices. Established in 2014 with its first location on East Harry Street in Wichita, Kansas, Meddys has cultivated a loyal customer base by providing a unique dining experience that combines mouthwatering Mediterranean dishes with friendly service in a relaxed and modern environment. At the heart of Meddys is a commitment to fresh, wholesome food prepared with locally sourced ingredients, ensuring every dish meets high standards of quality and taste. The menu features signature items such as delicious hummus, flavorful shawarma, warm pita, complimentary sauces, and unique signature cocktails tailored to guests' dietary preferences.

Over the years, Meddys has expanded significantly to include five branches in Wichita, Kansas, and four in the Kansas City Metro area, covering both Kansas and Missouri. In recent years, the company has ventured into new markets including Tulsa and Oklahoma City in Oklahoma, as well as launching new locations in Omaha, Nebraska, Salina, Kansas, and Moore, Oklahoma. This growth reflects Meddys' dedication to sharing its passion for healthy and tasty Mediterranean meals with a broader audience, while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in each of its branches.

The role being offered is ideal for individuals who thrive in a team-oriented environment where accountability, efficiency, and pride in results are core values. Meddys is seeking skilled cooks and prep cooks who are enthusiastic about preparing high-quality meals consistent with the menu standards, as well as experienced dishwashers to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen. Cooks are responsible for skillfully following cooking instructions, managing multiple food orders, and ensuring food safety throughout the preparation process. Prep cooks assist kitchen staff by preparing ingredients and setting up workstations to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Dishwashers play a vital role by professionally cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.

Team members at Meddys are expected to create exceptional service by going above and beyond for guests and by fostering a positive work environment with clear expectations and attainable rewards. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment where multitasking, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential for success. Meddys values employees who are self-motivated, work well both independently and within a team, and who are eager to contribute to the overall success of the restaurant while maintaining a clean and orderly workspace. The employment type is full-time and part-time options may be available, with competitive pay commensurate with experience.
