Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment
- Ability to follow recipes and standardized food preparation procedures
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Physical ability to lift and move items up to 100 pounds
- Flexibility to work morning and evening shifts
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work well in a team setting
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Creative approach to food preparation and presentation

- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Effective communication skills
Job Duties
- Preparing food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards per check from servers
- Starting food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over prepare estimated needs
- Dating all food containers and rotating as per Crescent standards, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures
- Checking pars for shift use, determining necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up
- noting any out-of-stock items or possible shortages
- Assisting in keeping buffet stocked
- Returning all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas, being sure to cover and date all perishables
- Assisting in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage per Crescent standards
- Operating, maintaining and properly cleaning deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill
