Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a kitchen environment
  • Ability to follow recipes and standardized food preparation procedures
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Physical ability to lift and move items up to 100 pounds
  • Flexibility to work morning and evening shifts
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to work well in a team setting

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Creative approach to food preparation and presentation
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Effective communication skills

Job Duties

  • Preparing food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards per check from servers
  • Starting food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over prepare estimated needs
  • Dating all food containers and rotating as per Crescent standards, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures
  • Checking pars for shift use, determining necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up
  • noting any out-of-stock items or possible shortages
  • Assisting in keeping buffet stocked
  • Returning all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas, being sure to cover and date all perishables
  • Assisting in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage per Crescent standards
  • Operating, maintaining and properly cleaning deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill
