In collaboration with Providence Health Services, Inland Northwest Behavioral Health Hospital in Spokane, Washington stands as the first free-standing mental health hospital in the city, embodying a shared commitment to addressing the community’s behavioral health needs. This hospital is dedicated to serving patients through compassionate care that supports mental health recovery and well-being.
We are seeking a passionate, skilled, and mission-driven Cook/Chef to join our team on a per diem basis. This role is essential to the quality of care provided at the hospital by preparing fresh, appealing, and therapeutic meals vital to patient healing and compliance with behavioral health safety standards. The successful candidate will work closely with the dietitian and dietary team to deliver consistent, patient-centered food service that meets specific diet requirements and promotes a healing environment.
This position involves crafting meals tailored to therapeutic diets, ensuring nutritional compliance, maintaining safe and clean kitchen environments, and supporting inventory and team collaboration within the dietary department. With at least five years of professional cooking experience in healthcare, school/institutional food service, or commercial dining, the ideal candidate holds culinary training or certification and possesses current food safety credentials. This role plays a crucial part in supporting patient recovery through nutrition and contributing to the overall mission of Inland Northwest Behavioral Health Hospital and Universal Health Services as leaders in healthcare excellence.

Job Requirements

Job Duties
