Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- two years experience in large scale food preparation
- training in institutional food preparation
- ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
- ability to maintain sanitary practices
- good communication skills
- physical ability to handle frequent lifting, bending, twisting and turning
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Previews menus and work orders to determine type and quantities of meats, vegetables, soups to be obtained and prepared
- Plans and coordinates cooking schedules to ensure food quality and proper temperature
- Prepares, seasons, and cooks food to achieve high customer satisfaction
- Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipes
- ensures food meets standards for quality, freshness, taste and appearance
- Maintains cleanliness and proper operation of cooking equipment and utensils
- Maintains sanitary levels by record keeping of HACCP logs, production sheets, cooling logs and sanitation cleaning schedules
- Works to assume more responsibility and increase knowledge as a productive member of the Nutrition Services staff
