Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum two years experience in quantity cooking
  • knowledge of modified diets
  • food service sanitation training
  • food service sanitation certificate
  • experience with industrial kitchen equipment and utensils
  • CPR certification
  • ability to follow detailed recipes and cleaning procedures
  • capability to maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • at least two years experience in quantity cooking
  • basic knowledge of modified diets
  • training in food service sanitation
  • possession of a food service sanitation certificate as required
  • experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils
  • some prior kitchen supervisory experience helpful

Job Duties

  • Open the kitchen and ensure organization of daily events
  • follow menus and recipes as provided by the Director of Dietary
  • prepare meals and beverages according to menu cycle and daily production sheet, providing attention to attractive and tasteful meals
  • comply with facility and departmental policies and procedures regarding food services
  • follow posted cleaning schedule and maintain a clean work area and dining room at all times
