Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum three years culinary arts experience in a high volume food service setting
  • ability to work rotating shifts
  • compliance with hospital health and safety policies including immunizations
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards
  • completion of mandatory training and certifications
  • ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively
  • physical ability to perform job duties

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • at least three years culinary arts experience in a high volume food service setting
  • Serv Safe certification preferred
  • ability to comply with hospital health screenings and immunizations
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Adheres to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia rules of conduct
  • prepares consistent, high quality, nutritious food according to recipes and production sheets
  • maintains strict sanitation and safety standards in food preparation
  • records food temperatures and completes daily production documentation
  • greets and interacts with patients, families, and staff in a professional manner
  • participates in mandatory training and certification requirements
  • supports orientation and training of new employees
