Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in cooking and food preparation
- Ability to obtain ServSafe Certification during probation
- Ability to prepare special medical diets
- Willingness to undergo employment reference checks
- Successful completion of Minnesota Department of Human Services background check
- Completion of Tuberculosis screening prior to employment
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of large scale cooking methods and equipment
- Understanding of food values and nutrition
- Familiarity with health and safety principles in food preparation
- Ability to follow written instructions
- Experience preparing special medical diets
- ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain during probation
- Experience in large healthcare or senior care food service preferred
- Knowledge of inventory and stocking
- Understanding of IDDSI standards
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents, staff, and guests
- Follow large scale cooking methods and adjust recipes as needed
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
- Prepare special medical diets according to guidelines
- Maintain inventory and proper stock levels
- Follow written instructions and health regulations
- Obtain and maintain ServSafe Certification
