Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Ability to speak English in an understandable manner
  • Previous experience in food preparation required
  • Knowledge and experience in working with elderly
  • Previous dementia experience preferred
  • Food Service Sanitation certificate according to State or Local requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation
  • Knowledge and experience in working with elderly preferred
  • Previous dementia care experience is an asset
  • Food Service Sanitation certificate according to State or Local requirements

Job Duties

  • Prepare appetizing and nutritious meals for residents
  • Assist Culinary Services Coordinator in managing food service functions
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety in food preparation and serving areas
  • Adhere to state and local food sanitation standards
  • Maintain a comfortable dining environment for residents
  • Handle food inventory and storage responsibly
  • Follow dietary guidelines and special dietary needs of residents
