Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Two years of paid food service experience including administrative duties
- Ability to read and interpret safety and operation documents
- Ability to write reports and correspondence
- Ability to calculate proportions and percentages
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions
- Possession of current Food Handler's Card and annual physical exam
- Obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid and Defensive Driving certifications
- Valid driver’s license without restrictions
- Ability to pass criminal background checks
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel overnight
- Proficient in basic computer skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical demands of the job
Job Qualifications
- At least two years of paid food service experience with one year in administrative duties
- Ability to cook, organize and manage food service operations within budget
- CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving certifications
- Valid driver’s license with no restrictions
- Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and write reports and correspondence
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Job Duties
- Prepares meals ensuring compliance with approved dietitian menus and regulations
- Plans meals and notifies director and residents of substitutions
- Manages food and kitchen inventory and orders supplies as needed
- Maintains sanitary and safety standards in kitchen and serving areas
- Keeps accurate written records of food service operations
- Maintains knowledge of all policies, emergency drills and safety procedures
- Attends required meetings and works flexible hours to provide staff coverage
