Job Description

Hilton Milwaukee stands as a beacon of hospitality excellence in the heart of downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a division of The Marcus Corporation, Hilton Milwaukee carries forward a legacy of over 60 years in the hospitality industry. The hotel is renowned for its commitment to delivering extraordinary guest experiences through outstanding service, innovative approaches, and timeless elegance. With its rich history dating back to 1927 when it was originally built as the Schroeder Hotel, Hilton Milwaukee combines historic charm with modern sophistication. This prestigious establishment offers 554 beautifully appointed guest rooms alongside more than 34,000 square feet of flexible event and meeting space, making it the largest hotel in the city and a premier destination for conventions and gatherings.

In recent times, Hilton Milwaukee has undergone a remarkable $40 million renovation that has elevated the property’s aesthetic and functional appeal. The comprehensive transformation includes enhancements to guest rooms, event spaces, and the grand lobby, all designed to reflect a new era of modern elegance while maintaining the hotel’s historic character. Its strategic connection to the expanded Baird Center further enhances its position as Milwaukee's go-to meeting and convention hub.

The Hilton Milwaukee is currently seeking a Part-Time Cook to join their dynamic culinary team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about hospitality and eager to contribute to a high-quality dining experience. As a Part-Time Cook, you will focus on maintaining food production standards and quality control for your designated station. Your responsibilities will include preparing specific food items such as meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks, and seasonings following established recipes to ensure consistency and excellence.

This position requires not only technical cooking skills but also a keen eye for detail and a commitment to upholding health and safety regulations. You will manage tasks such as station setup, maintaining cleanliness and equipment sanitation, and ensuring all food preparation adheres to recipe specifications. This role demands a flexible schedule, including the ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and requires stamina to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Working at Hilton Milwaukee offers a unique opportunity to be part of a team dedicated to creating memorable guest experiences while advancing your career in hospitality. The hotel encourages professional growth and provides avenues for transfer within the Marcus Hotels & Resorts network, fostering a supportive environment for career advancement.

If you have previous cooking experience, ideally 1 to 2 years in a similar role, and a passion for preparing high-quality food, this position offers an exciting chance to make a lasting impact at one of Milwaukee’s flagship hotels. Join Hilton Milwaukee’s culinary team and become part of a storied tradition of hospitality excellence.
