We are currently seeking a dedicated cook to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in preparing and cooking nutritious meals and snacks that enrich and enhance the quality of life for our clients. The cook will work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure that all food is prepared according to safety and quality standards. This role demands a strong understanding of food handling techniques, cooking procedures, and safety protocols to consistently deliver high-quality meals. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of related work experience and be a proactive member of the kitchen team.
The cook will also be responsible for maintaining kitchen and personal cleanliness and adhering to safety standards to create a safe working environment. The position requires excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both team members and clients, ensuring clear understanding and accurate documentation. We appreciate staff who show initiative and self-direction in completing their tasks, fostering independence and reliability in their work. While experience working with persons with brain injury or cognitive disabilities is considered a plus, it is not mandatory.
