Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a cook role
  • strong culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment
  • ability to follow recipes and maintain food presentation standards
  • willingness to work with adults with disabilities and support collaborative cooking efforts
  • food safety and hygiene knowledge
  • valid driver's license with clean record
  • ServeSafe Food Handler certification or willingness to obtain within six months
  • understanding of health and sanitation regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service industry
  • strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment
  • ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain high standards of food presentation
  • willingness to work alongside adults with disabilities and collaboratively teach cooking skills
  • ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
  • valid driver's license with a clean record
  • knowledge of local, state, and federal health and sanitation laws
  • ServeSafe Food Handler certification or ability to achieve within six months of hire

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
  • execute cooking techniques to prepare meals ensuring correct temperature and flavor
  • work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation
  • assist with internal food serving
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and workstations adhering to food safety standards
  • monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies
  • contribute creative ideas for daily specials and assist in menu planning and recipe development
  • ensure food served meets quality standards in taste, presentation, and portion control
