Guest Services, Inc. is a renowned hospitality management company with a rich legacy dating back to 1917. As a National Park Service concessionaire in the United States, Guest Services has cultivated a reputation for delivering best-in-class services across a diverse range of client sites. These sites span luxury communities, hotels, resorts, government and business dining facilities, full-service restaurants, state and national parks, outdoor recreation areas, boathouses, marinas, museums, conference centers, senior living communities, health care systems, school and university dining facilities, and specialty retail stores. The company’s expansive portfolio highlights its commitment to excellence and its ability to adapt to varied hospitality environments.

Guest Services prides itself on fostering an inclusive workplace culture that champions diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). The company is dedicated to ensuring that every individual feels empowered to bring their authentic selves to work, a philosophy which in turn enhances service delivery to its diverse customer base. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Guest Services guarantees equal consideration for employment and advancement regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status. This commitment underpins the company’s values and underlines its dedication to a welcoming and supportive employment environment.

The role of Cook at Guest Services is vital to supporting the culinary team and ensuring the seamless preparation and service of food to guests. The Cook will assist the Chef or General Manager by preparing, cooking, and serving food items according to established recipes, daily menus, and supervisor instructions. This position is compensated at an hourly rate of 15.00 USD and offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environment where quality, safety, and customer satisfaction are paramount.

In this role, the Cook is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and operational functionality in the kitchen. This includes cleaning and inspecting kitchen equipment and appliances to ensure hygiene and operational efficiency. The Cook will also manage the operation of food stations, including adhering to station checklists, maintaining temperature logs, conducting counter meetings, and ensuring appropriate signage is present. Additionally, the Cook plays a crucial role in inventory management by requisitioning food supplies and kitchen equipment based on future needs estimates, thus supporting efficient kitchen operations and cost control.

A strong focus on food safety and sanitation is essential in this position, as is a commitment to customer service. The Cook must actively seek ways to assist customers and coworkers, recognizing and communicating any issues promptly to management. Physical stamina and the ability to handle the demanding physical environment of the kitchen—such as lifting heavy items, standing for long periods, and withstanding temperature extremes—are key for success in this role.

Overall, this opportunity with Guest Services offers a meaningful position within a respected hospitality company that values its employees and is dedicated to offering outstanding guest experiences through dedicated and professional kitchen staff.
