Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred
- Minimum of one year of related job experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain SERV Safe certification
- Open availability including weekends
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local food safety regulations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of resident information
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred
- One year of job-related experience in food preparation including full-line menu items and therapeutic diets
- Current SERV Safe certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve meals following approved standardized recipes and production sheets
- Ensure sanitation of food service areas and adherence to food safety standards
- Maintain accurate record keeping for food temperatures, production quantities, and regulatory compliance
- Prepare special dietary and texture-modified foods as directed
- Monitor food quality, temperature, and taste to uphold minimum guidelines
- Operate dishwashing equipment to properly clean and sanitize kitchen utensils and dishes
- Manage food production effectively in the absence of Lead Cook or Food and Beverage Director
