With a commitment to innovation, compassion, and quality care, Benchmark Senior Living operates numerous communities across the country, offering a range of services including assisted living, independent living, memory care, and rehabilitation. Known for their focus on resident well-being, personalized care plans, and community engagement, Benchmark creates welcoming spaces where seniors can thrive. Their strong emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion ensures that every resident and associate feels valued and respected, contributing to a vibrant and dynamic culture.
The role of Cook at Benchmark is an essential part of maintaining the high standards of care and comfort that the communities provide. This position is part-time, scheduled from 6:30am to 2:30pm on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, offering reliable and schedule-stabilizing hours. The hourly rate ranges from $21.75 to $23, reflecting the importance of the role and the company’s commitment to rewarding skilled professionals. As a cook at Benchmark, you will be instrumental in crafting delicious and healthy meals that meet all federal, state, and local food safety regulations, alongside Benchmark’s own policies and procedures.
Your primary responsibility will be to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals that cater to the diverse dietary needs of senior residents. The Food Services Director oversees the kitchen operations to ensure compliance and excellence, allowing you to focus on meal preparation and presentation. Operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively, such as meat slicers, food processors, ovens, grills, steamers, and more, will be part of your daily tasks. Additionally, you will help establish efficient food production lines to guarantee timely meal service.
Working as a Benchmark cook means more than just food preparation; it means contributing to the overall well-being and satisfaction of residents through carefully crafted meals served with pride and positive attitude. The role demands physical stamina, as it involves standing for extended periods and handling up to 50 pounds. Leadership qualities and the ability to work harmoniously with both professional and non-professional staff are crucial. If you have a passion for culinary arts and enjoy working in a team-oriented, supportive environment that shares your values, this position is a perfect fit for you.
Joining Benchmark Senior Living means becoming part of a company dedicated to growth and personal development, with access to extensive benefits designed to support your health, education, and financial future. Whether you are building your career in dietary services or looking for an opportunity to apply your culinary skills in a meaningful way, Benchmark offers a stable and rewarding workplace where every meal you prepare makes a difference.
