Job Requirements
- Previous culinary experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work part-time with flexible days and hours
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation regulations
- Capable of standing for long periods and performing physical tasks in a kitchen environment
- Must be able to work in compliance with safety policies including use of protective equipment
- Willingness to complete training as provided
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and food quality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous culinary experience preferred but not required
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and food safety standards
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible part-time hours
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
- Willingness to learn and receive training
- Basic math skills for portion control and record keeping
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, maintaining standards of temperature, appearance and taste
- Uses established ticket collection procedures and maintains records for service periods
- Cleans kitchen and equipment after preparation and serving, ensuring high standards of cleanliness
- Stores or discards excess food per safe food-handling procedures
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of refrigerators and storerooms, ensuring proper storage of food and supplies
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed, reporting maintenance needs promptly
- Assists in production planning, record keeping, ordering and receiving food and supplies
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and managers
- Ensures job safety and compliance with company policies including the use of protective gear and safe lifting techniques
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Ensures food presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures comply with HACCP standards
- Commits personally to safety and teamwork
