Job Requirements

  • Prior professional culinary and food service experience
  • Ability to work part-time with weekend availability

  • Ability to safely handle kitchen tools and equipment

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production and service schedules
  • Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and attractive
  • Taste all prepared food items to maintain quality
  • Use established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Store or discard excess food following safe food-handling procedures
  • Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and ensure proper storage of food and supplies
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
  • Assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • Report maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to supervisor
  • Attend in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintain good working relationships with co-workers, customers, administrators and managers
  • Perform job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Ensure proper food presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • Commit to personal safety and that of others
  • Follow company policies regarding safety equipment use such as cut gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes
