Job Description

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., established in 1983 in Glendale, California, is the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States. With nearly 2,800 locations worldwide, Panda Restaurant Group continues to deliver exceptional Asian dining experiences to a diverse customer base. The company prides itself on its deep-rooted family values and commitment to inspiring and enhancing the lives of its team members and the communities it serves. Panda is a fast-growing company that offers a vibrant, supportive, and inclusive work environment where employees are encouraged to develop their skills and advance their careers.

As a Panda Cook, you play a central role in bringing the company’s mission to life through the preparation of delicious meals and ensuring a welcoming restaurant atmosphere. This position is vital to the kitchen team, requiring someone passionate about food, attentive to detail, and dedicated to high-quality service. You will work in a fast-paced environment that necessitates precision, teamwork, and a strong commitment to upholding Panda’s standards. The Cook is responsible not only for meal preparation but also for supporting and training other kitchen staff, guiding the team to create a dynamic and efficient kitchen operation.

This position offers more than just a job; it provides a career path with opportunities for growth into management roles through ongoing career and leadership development programs. Full-time associates have access to medical, vision, dental, and disability insurance plans, as well as a 401K plan with company match, paid vacation and sick leave, and other valuable benefits. Working at Panda also means being part of a community where you can make a meaningful impact, with programs that encourage giving back and supporting one another.

The role requires continuous adherence to food safety regulations and municipal requirements such as obtaining a food handler certification at the applicant’s own expense. It also demands stamina and the ability to work efficiently in challenging kitchen conditions, including heat, noise, and limited workspace. At Panda, you will be part of a dynamic team that is committed to excellence, inclusivity, and a shared passion for creating memorable dining experiences. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy a lively work environment, have a strong work ethic, and are eager to contribute their culinary skills to a well-established and growing company.
