Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is recognized as a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services. Since its inception in 2015, OVG has carved out a notable position in the industry through a comprehensive platform that encompasses venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. The company proudly manages and serves some of the world's most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions located across four continents. This global footprint and extensive portfolio reflect OVG's commitment to delivering exceptional live entertainment experiences and maintaining world-class facilities that engage and inspire diverse audiences.

OVG focuses on innovation, quality, and excellence in every aspect of its operations. Its venues are not only architectural landmarks but also hubs where communities come together to celebrate sports, music, and cultural events. The company’s integrated approach marries venue development with expert management and hospitality services, ensuring that every visitor enjoys a seamless, memorable experience. OVG continues to expand its reach and impact, driven by a dynamic leadership team and a workforce passionate about revolutionizing the live entertainment industry with a keen eye on sustainability, diversity, and inclusion.

Within this vibrant organization, the role of a Cook is essential to maintaining the high standards OVG sets for its guest experience. The Cook is primarily responsible for preparing foods that are fresh and served promptly to guests throughout various venue locations. This position requires interaction with the public in environments like food ports and concessions stands, where cooks prepare dishes to order, ensuring that all servings meet both company recipes and quality standards. With an hourly wage ranging between $13.00 and $16.00, this part-time role offers not only competitive pay but also access to benefits such as the 401(k) savings plan and company matching, highlighting OVG's investment in its employee wellbeing.

The role demands reliability and flexibility, as the Cook must maintain excellent attendance and be available for events according to business needs. Beyond food preparation, the Cook is integral to a team-oriented kitchen environment, contributing to food planning, sanitation adherence, and operational efficiency. They collaborate with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Supervisor to plan menus and estimate food consumption. This helps optimize kitchen operations for both quality and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, the Cook is tasked with maintaining health and safety standards, ensuring that the working environment complies with sanitation regulations and that kitchen equipment is well-maintained and reported for repairs when necessary.

This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, event-driven environments, enjoy team collaboration, and are passionate about delivering excellent service to guests. OVG underscores the value of diversity and inclusivity, recognizing that diverse perspectives fuel innovation and elevate service excellence. As such, the company openly supports and encourages applicants from all backgrounds, making this not just a job but an opportunity to be part of a global team dedicated to transforming the live entertainment landscape while fostering a respectful and positive workplace culture.
