Job Requirements
- Must have high school education or equivalent
- Minimum of one-year professional cooking experience, preferably in a health care setting
- Must be able to speak, read and write the English language
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and verbal or written adjustments to recipes
- Understanding of different food cuisines and flavor profiles
- Experience with high volume production is desired
- Excellent customer service skills essential
- Must have ability to work independently, making sound decisions

Job Duties
- Prepares menu items within allotted time period using appropriate standardized recipes
- Assures optimal quality, temperature and appearance of meals
- Adheres to special diet needs and is knowledgeable of allergen information
- Adheres to food safety and workplace safety standards, policies and procedures as regulated by department
- Ensures proper sanitation of kitchen and equipment following department standards, policies and procedures
- Exercises proper use of all equipment
- Follows uniform guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned
