Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • minimum one year of professional cooking experience preferably in healthcare settings
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and verbal or written recipe adjustments
  • understanding of different food cuisines and flavor profiles
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to work independently making sound decisions
  • must speak, read and write English
  • experience with high volume kitchen work
  • ability to adhere to safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepares menu items within allotted time period using appropriate standardized recipes
  • assures optimal quality, temperature and appearance of meals
  • adheres to special diet needs and is knowledgeable of allergen information
  • adheres to food safety and workplace safety standards, policies and procedures as regulated by department
  • ensures proper sanitation of kitchen and equipment following department standards, policies and procedures
  • exercises proper use of all equipment
  • follows uniform guidelines
  • performs other duties as assigned
