The Cook/Baker position at Franciscan Health Lafayette East Campus is a pivotal role responsible for preparing high-quality foods for patients, staff, visitors, and special events. The role requires adherence to standard practices and procedures compliant with regulations set by federal, state, and HFAP regulatory agencies. The Cook/Baker ensures food products meet quality standards in taste and appearance while practicing safe food handling techniques to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety. This full-time position demands flexibility with hours available from 5:00 am to 7:30 pm, including rotations during weekends and holidays. The role requires proficient use of kitchen equipment such as combo ovens, slicers, steamers, and mixers, and the ability to follow production sheets accurately to ensure correct meal quantities are prepared and available across all service areas.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- minimum 1 year of food service or cooking experience
- institutional cooking experience preferred
- food handler certification - ServSafe required in Illinois
- food handler certification - ServSafe preferred in Indiana
- ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work full-time with flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Preferred high school diploma/GED
- 2 years institutional cooking preferred
- 1 year food service and/or cooking preferred

Job Duties
