Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in cooking or food preparation
- Current Food Handler's certification
- Ability to work flexible hours including on call and per diem shifts
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
- Willingness to follow company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Prior culinary or food service experience
- Food Handler's certification required
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills for food measurement and portion control
Job Duties
- Prepare food items to meet quality and quantity standards
- Handle food according to sanitary and food preparation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in food preparation areas
- Collaborate with dining services team to ensure resident satisfaction
- Follow menu guidelines and dietary restrictions
- Monitor inventory and report shortages
- Assist in training new kitchen staff
