Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of previous culinary experience preferred
  • Ability to work on an on-call schedule with variable days and hours
  • Must be able to prepare food in compliance with federal, state and corporate regulations
  • Personal commitment to safety and use of protective equipment
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and food handling standards
  • Must abide by company policies and procedures
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with kitchen work

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year culinary experience preferred
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and food safety guidelines

  • Ability to work flexible hours as required
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains accurate records
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and proper food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and ensures food and supplies are stored per standards
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, and ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • Reports maintenance issues, faulty equipment or accidents to supervisor
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
  • Performs job safely and maintains a clean, safe work environment
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • Adheres to company safety policies including use of protective gloves, mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques
  • Performs other duties as assigned
