Job Description
Park Vista is a respected senior living community dedicated to providing exceptional care and comfort to its residents, who are mostly elderly individuals requiring both assisted living and memory care services. Operating with a commitment to honor and privilege, Park Vista focuses on the holistic well-being of the people they serve, ensuring that residents maintain dignity, independence, and a high quality of life throughout their stay. The community is renowned for its warm atmosphere, compassionate staff, and vibrant activities that enrich the daily lives of its residents. Not only does Park Vista prioritize resident care, but it also supports families by allowing them to step back from the demanding responsibilities of caregiving, confident that their loved ones are in capable and loving hands.
As a company, Park Vista emphasizes core values such as Dignity, Collaboration, Compassion, and Transparency which shape every interaction and service offered. These values are integrated into the workplace culture, driving teamwork and respectful communication among team members and with the residents themselves. Park Vista provides a positive environment where staff can thrive professionally while making a meaningful impact on the community.
We are currently seeking a full-time Cook to join our dedicated culinary team at Park Vista. This position plays a vital role in the daily operations of our dining services, ensuring that all meals served to our residents meet the highest standards of quality, nutrition, and presentation. The Cook will work closely with kitchen management and culinary assistants to prepare meals following specific recipes and menus tailored to meet the diverse dietary needs of our senior residents. This role requires a professional who values food safety, operates efficiently under pressure, and contributes positively to a collaborative work environment.
The Cook at Park Vista will earn a competitive wage of up to $19.50 per hour, which includes an $18.00 base wage plus a weekend shift differential of $1.50 per hour. Employment benefits include paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, disability coverage, and eligibility for a 401(k) plan after one year of service. This comprehensive benefits package underscores our commitment to the well-being and satisfaction of our employees, supporting both their professional and personal needs.
This role offers more than just meal preparation; it is about making a difference in the lives of seniors by offering nourishment and comfort through quality food. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining sanitary culinary operations and adhering strictly to all food safety regulations and guidelines. They will also be expected to supervise certain shift operations, coordinate inventory adjustments, and ensure meticulous documentation of temperature and storage requirements. At Park Vista, we understand that good nutrition is fundamental to our residents’ health and happiness, and every meal served plays a part in enhancing their quality of life.
Joining our team means becoming part of a community that truly values making every action and interaction count. If you are passionate about cooking, dedicated to food safety, and eager to support the mission of empowering seniors to live their best years, Park Vista welcomes your application. Take this opportunity to grow your culinary career in an environment that appreciates your efforts and recognizes your contributions. Together, we 'Make It Matter' for our residents, their families, and our team members.
