Pudgy's Sports Bar, located on McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey, is a distinguished establishment within the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) activities operated by the Air Force and Space Force. As a Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) entity, it provides vital services to the military community, offering a welcoming environment where service members and their families can relax, socialize, and enjoy quality food and entertainment. Recognized for its commitment to supporting the wellbeing and morale of military personnel, Pudgy's Sports Bar plays a significant role in enhancing community engagement on the base.\n\nThe role available is for a Cook position within Pudgy's Sports Bar. This position focuses on performing a broad range of simple cooking tasks that support the overall kitchen operations and ensure that customers receive freshly prepared meals in a timely manner. The cook will be responsible for preparing food items that require minimal processing, including staples such as pancakes, sausages, eggs, hamburgers, and fresh or canned vegetables. Additional responsibilities involve preparing hot cereals, broiled meats, concentrated or dehydrated soups, sauces, gravies, and assembling cold sandwich fillings. The cook will also handle convenience items like frozen hash browns, fish fillets, and chicken nuggets, as well as baking pizzas as part of their duties.\n\nFood preparation at this level entails preparing ingredients by peeling, chopping, grinding, paring, cutting, slicing, dicing, pureeing, dredging, flouring, or breading, alongside weighing, measuring, and assembling ingredients according to set menu standards. The cook plays a vital role in setting up and replenishing the salad bar, portioning foods for meal distribution, and properly covering, dating, and storing leftovers following established procedures to maintain food safety and quality. Job Duties
