Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass pre-employment post offer background check
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Can communicate effectively in English
  • Proven cooking experience including line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook
  • Knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
  • An upbeat and friendly attitude
  • Open availability and flexible schedule for demanding hours
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Able to bend and kneel throughout shift
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds or more

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare food for service including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces using approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control
  • Maintain safety standards while using knives and other food preparation equipment
  • Restock and/or break down workstation at the conclusion of shift
  • Assist in controlling product costs by managing product waste
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain all assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to meet sanitation standards
  • Maintain speed and efficiency while multitasking and staying organized
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
