The role of Pastry Cook III at Conrad Orlando is a highly specialized and vital position within the culinary team. Reporting to the pastry chef or executive chef, this role requires exceptional skills in creating, preparing, producing, and baking a wide assortment of pastries, breads, rolls, and desserts that contribute to the outstanding guest experiences synonymous with Hilton's flagship Conrad brand. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in pastry or bakery cooking
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekdays, weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Ability to maintain cleanliness in the kitchen
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to develop new pastry products
- Good physical stamina
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a pastry cook or baker in a hotel or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and presentation
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and creativity
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
Job Duties
- Prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
- Stock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product
- Develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus, as needed
- Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
- Display and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications
- Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
