This position is a full-time, non-management role within The Ritz-Carlton Dallas's Food and Beverage & Culinary department. The role primarily involves preparing ingredients for cooking by portioning, chopping, and storing food, as well as washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables. Candidates will be responsible for weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, preparing and cooking food following established recipes and quality standards, and operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. This job requires continuous monitoring of food quality and adherence to presentation standards, ensuring every dish served meets the brand’s renowned excellence.
Beyond food preparation, associates are expected to maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing and disinfecting work areas, tools, and equipment, as well as checking appliance and food temperatures to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. The role also emphasizes compliance with company safety and security policies, reporting any maintenance needs or unsafe conditions to management, and completing necessary safety training.
