Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years experience in a similar cooking role desired
  • culinary training preferred
  • ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
  • knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards
  • ability to follow directions and work independently
  • basic computer and software proficiency
  • willingness to participate in ongoing training
  • ability to maintain punctuality and attendance standards

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience in a similar position desired
  • culinary training a plus
  • ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
  • ability to work with minimal supervision
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • proficiency in basic cooking techniques and knife skills
  • effective communication skills
  • teamwork and professionalism

Job Duties

  • Prepare soups, stocks, sauces, main dishes, starches, and vegetables
  • execute the 7 methods of cooking
  • review and manage station opening, closing, and prep lists
  • follow recipes accurately
  • maintain compliance with food handling, HACCP, labeling, and storage protocols
  • ensure quality, presentation, and portion control standards
  • collaborate with front and back of house team members
  • participate in planning and production meetings
  • attend training and education programs
  • maintain documentation of temperature charts and records
  • adhere to safety protocols
