Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a professional kitchen environment preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Knowledge of safe food handling practices
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff
  • Knowledge of safe food handling practices
  • Experience working in a professional kitchen environment preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • React to food orders in an efficient and proper manner assuring presentations and procedures are followed
  • Work the grill, deep fryer, roasting, sauté, prep and pantry stations proficiently
  • Estimate and requisition supplies from receiving areas
  • Set up and break down all food stations
  • Season food and add garnish, sauce or vegetables as determined by the chef
  • Perform job combinations as necessary
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and good working order throughout the shift
  • Ensure proper kitchen closing procedures are followed
  • Understand safe food handling practices according to Michigan Health Code
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
