Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least two years of relevant cooking experience
  • valid ServSafe Food Handler Certificate
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds
  • excellent communication skills
  • professional grooming and appearance

Job Qualifications

  • at least two years of previous cook experience preferably in fine dining
  • culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred
  • track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience
  • strong communication skills
  • appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
  • valid ServSafe Food Handler Certificate required

Job Duties

  • follow all restaurant recipes
  • use product according to guidelines
  • properly store and zone all food items
  • assist in preparing for inventory with daily walkthrough and maintaining walk-in and dry storage
  • maintain system clipboards throughout the shift
  • maintain all quality standards at all times per checklist clipboards
  • be in proper uniform and properly groomed at all times
  • properly set up prep area according to guidelines
  • complete and properly store all daily prep according to zoning and rotation guidelines
  • maintain all cooking technique standards
  • communicate repair and maintenance needs to management
  • assist in menu development
  • keep prep station clean, organized and zoned properly according to specifications
  • comprehend and adhere to cleanliness and sanitation guidelines
  • build solid relationship with colleagues
  • treat colleagues with respect and dignity
  • deliver passionate and engaging service to guests
  • consistently deliver guest model
