Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- must obtain and maintain valid licenses or certifications per federal, state, and gaming regulations
- must successfully pass background check
- must successfully pass drug screening
- must be at least eighteen years of age
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- culinary apprenticeship or associate’s degree preferred
- some industry experience preferred
- knowledge of basic food preparation and line work
- knowledge of kitchen equipment
- knowledge of international cuisines
- ability to be flexible with shifts and schedules
- effective communication skills
- ability to use kitchen equipment including choppers, slicers, mixers, grinders
- successful completion of background check
- successful drug screening
- valid licenses and certifications as required by regulations
- at least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to choose Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain for entertainment
- prepares foods by grilling, frying, broiling, baking, boiling, braising, poaching or pantry preparation
- ensures plates are aesthetically appealing and cooked to specifications
- recognizes and places sauces correctly on entrees
- keeps workstation neat and clean
- assists co-workers for efficient kitchen operation
- performs duties for special events or parties
- ensures cleanliness of working area and reports safety issues
- properly stores foods including from previous functions
- ensures items are stocked and equipment is in good condition
- closes down workstations properly
- participates in meetings and completes follow-ups
- seasons food according to recipes
- assists during food assembly
- cleans up before shift ends
- cleans food preparation areas
- responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces
- other duties as assigned
