Job Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
At least 1 year of related work experience preferred
Ability to follow recipes quality and presentation standards and food preparation checklists
Ability to operate kitchen equipment ovens stoves grills microwaves fryers and test foods for doneness
Ability to maintain cleanliness and disinfect kitchen areas tools knives and equipment
Ability to ensure proper food and appliance temperatures
Physical ability to stand sit or walk for extended periods or an entire shift
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees bend twist pull and stoop
Ability to move lift carry push pull and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
Ability to report safety issues appropriately

Job Duties

Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning chopping and storing food
Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
Weigh measure and mix ingredients and prepare food according to recipes quality standards presentation standards and food preparation checklists
Prepare cold foods and operate ovens stoves grills microwaves and fryers
Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently and monitor food quality while preparing food
Set up and break down work station and serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles
Wash and disinfect kitchen area tables tools knives and equipment and check ensure correctness of temperatures of appliances and food
Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
Report maintenance needs accidents injuries and unsafe work conditions to manager
Complete required safety training and certifications
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
