The Cook II position at Sycuan is a vital role within the Food & Beverage department, reporting directly to the designated venue Sous Chef. This position is hourly and involves preparing specialty cuisine as well as standard menu items using approved recipes, cooking methods, and high-quality ingredients established by Culinary Management. The role requires meticulous attention to detail in maintaining kitchen standards, including food quality, cleanliness, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
The Cook II will be responsible for operating kitchen equipment proficiently and using expert knife skills to prepare food to consistent flavor profiles and presentation standards. A strong understanding of basic cooking methods and food rotation techniques such as FIFO (First In, First Out) is essential for success in this role. The cook must maintain their designated workstation with care and a commitment to the department’s efficient operation.

Job Requirements
- County of San Diego Food Handler Card
- 1 years casual and/or fine dining cooking experience
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Culinary degree
- California driver’s license in good standing
- Casino experience
