Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or equivalent hotel cooking experience
  • two years of prior line cooking experience preferred
  • California Food Handlers Certification
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight
  • good communication skills
  • ability to multitask under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or related hotel experience
  • two years of line cooking experience preferred
  • ability to perform all basic cooking skills
  • grilling and sauté station experience
  • refined verbal communication skills
  • physical stamina to work long hours and lift moderate weights

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals according to Hyatt standards
  • work at single stations such as omelet, grill, and sauté
  • manage multiple cooking tasks for banquets and outlets
  • maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety
  • assist with food inventory and storage
  • cooperate with kitchen team to ensure timely meal service
  • comply with health and safety regulations
